SUMMARY:Advanced Neonatal CPR Course
DESCRIPTION:The Health Research Institute Foundation of Santiago de Compostela (FIDIS) together with the Neonatology Service of the University Clinical Hospital of Santiago and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela\, organize the ADVANCED NEONATAL CPR Course\, conducted by Dr. Alejandro Pérez Muñuzuri and Dr. Mª Luz Couce. \nCourse Objectives: The objectives of the course are to know and learn the neonatal resuscitation algorithm through the study of the CPR manual of the Spanish Society of Neonatology\, to know how to identify special situations and know how to act before them and learn to resuscitate in the presence of other colleagues\, essential role of communication and leadership in resuscitation. \nCourse Content: The course will be conducted in person with prior availability of theoretical content so that students can learn and become familiar with neonatal resuscitation algorithms. It will have a theoretical exam prior to the beginning of the course in which the initial level of the students will be evaluated and a theoretical and practical exam at the end of the course. The theoretical classes are brief\, with an estimated duration of 30 minutes each and will serve as a review of the resuscitation sequence prior to carrying out the practices. \nAimed at: specialists in Neonatology\, Paediatrics\, Anesthesia\, Pediatric Residents\, Obstetricians\, Midwives\, University Nursing Graduates (DUE) and Pediatric EIR. \nVenue: Perinatal Simulation Classroom (Gil Casares Hospital; Complexo Hospitalario Universitario de Santiago). \nDate: March 30 and 31\, 2022 \nHours: 4:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. / 9:00 p.m. \nRegistrations: \nRegistration fee: 250 euros (by bank transfer) \nNumber of participants: 24 \nRegistrations will be made exclusively through the following form. \nThe reservation of a place will be made in strict order of application. \nActivity accredited by the Autonomous Commission for Continuing Education of Galicia (in process). \nProgram: \nMarch 30th \n16:00 – 16:15 Welcome and Presentation of the Course. \n16:15 – 16:30 Initial theoretical evaluation. \n16:30 – 17:00 Theoretical unit I.
