DESCRIPTION:The Health Research Institute Foundation of Santiago de Compostela (FIDIS) together with the Neonatology Service of the University Clinical Hospital of Santiago and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela\, organize the ADVANCED NEONATAL CPR Course\, conducted by Dr. Alejandro Pérez Muñuzuri and Dr. Mª Luz Couce. \nCourse Objectives: The objectives of the course are to know and learn the neonatal resuscitation algorithm through the study of the CPR manual of the Spanish Society of Neonatology\, to know how to identify special situations and know how to act before them and learn to resuscitate in the presence of other colleagues\, essential role of communication and leadership in resuscitation. \nCourse Content: The course will be conducted in person with prior availability of theoretical content so that students can learn and become familiar with neonatal resuscitation algorithms. It will have a theoretical exam prior to the beginning of the course in which the initial level of the students will be evaluated and a theoretical and practical exam at the end of the course. SUMMARY:Curso-webinar de Ecografía Oftalmológica
DESCRIPTION:La Fundación Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela (FIDIS)\, con la coordinación del doctor Antonio Piñeiro\, organizará\, del 18 de octubre al 7 de diciembre\, en formato online\, una nueva edición del “Curso-webinar de Ecografía Oftalmológica”. \nCon él se busca actualizar el conocimiento de las características\, ventajas e indicaciones de prueba de diagnóstico por imagen de la Ecografía Oftalmológica\, así como adquirir práctica con diferentes sondas para el estudio ecográfico específico del globo ocular y la órbita. Será impartido\, tanto en lo que a enseñanza teórica como práctica se refiere\, por personal de la Unidad de Retina Quirúrgica y Tumores Intraoculares del Adulto (URQTIA) del Servicio de Oftalmología del Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Santiago de Compostela. \nEn las diferentes sesiones online se tratarán temas como los fundamentos de explotación ecográfica oftalmológica\, la ecografía de patologías del polo posterior del globo ocular así como las ecografías en traumatismos oculares\, en tumores intraoculares y en tumores orbitarios. El programa del curso contempla también entre sus contenidos el examen del nervio óptico y músculos extraoculares; indicaciones de la técnica de diagnóstico por imagen BMU así como la biometría ultrasónica.

SUMMARY:SYMTAS 2021
DESCRIPTION:Los días 23 al 24 de septiembre de 2021 se celebra el IV Simposio Internacional de Ictus Agudo por Trombectomía Mecánica (SYMTAS)\, en Santiago de Compostela. SYMTAS es el sucesor del simposio que fue fundado por José M Pumar y José Castillo en 2017. \nLos simposios han brindado oportunidades para discutir la posibilidad de la terapia de reperfusión y alentaron a los investigadores de muchos países a diseñar ensayos clínicos controlados sobre la eficacia y seguridad de la terapia trombolítica. La contribución de los simposios es enorme en el desarrollo de la terapia de reperfusión para el ictus isquémico agudo. Ahora\, la terapia de trombectomía mecánica se ha convertido en una terapia estándar para el ictus agudo para ELVO\, se ha demostrado recientemente que es beneficiosa en ensayos clínicos aleatorios y ahora se considera como otra estrategia. \nEsta reunión de dos días brindará oportunidades para que los neurólogos\, neurocirujanos\, intervencionistas e investigadores del daño cerebrovascular se reúnan y debatan sobre cuestiones actuales y futuras relacionadas con la terapia de reperfusión y el tratamiento de los ictus agudos. Se compartirá la actualización de los ensayos actuales y los nuevos datos de los ensayos presentados en SYMTAS 2017\, SYMTAS 2018 y SYMTAS 2019. También abordaremos muchas áreas de interés relacionadas con la recanalización\, incluida la atención crítica para dichos pacientes\, complicaciones\, prevención de recurrencia\, diseños de dispositivos novedosos y estrategias relevantes.
