Area coordinator

Research objectives
The scientific activity of the Endocrinology area studies obesity from different points of view with the participation of groups from the clinical and basic field in synergy. Its activity focuses on treating obesity, given its current and future economic and health importance.
Both consolidated groups with a brilliant career and emerging groups directed by promising young doctors converge in the Endocrinology area. These groups do not only study the molecular bases of obesity, but also develop different therapies for obesity and its associated pathologies by adapting them to the specificities of each research line, in addition to being part of important national and international consortia.
