The objective of the AES is to promote the development of R&amp;D&amp;i in health in Spain and increase the stability of the professional career of its research community.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, for the performance of health research contracts and projects, the AES 2022 includes various ordinary calls for aid, to which must be added extraordinary calls linked to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isciii.es\/Noticias\/Noticias\/Paginas\/Noticias\/Presentaci%c3%b3nPERTESalud.aspx\"><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Vanguard Health PERTE<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, such as those for Infrastructures and Precision Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>The AES 2022 intends with the new call to consolidate independent clinical research projects; stabilize the research career through modifications in certain contracts; expand the research groups in the CIBER Consortium, and reformulate the technological development projects in health to guarantee a true transfer of knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>The 15 ordinary calls included in the AES 2022 are distributed in three state programs: the State Program to Develop, Attract and Retain Talent; the State Program to Promote Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer, and the State Program to Address the Priorities of Our Environment. These three state programs have subprograms in which the different calls for aid, contracts and projects are framed, which this year include novelties in contracts such as the Sara Borrell and the Miguel Servet, and in projects such as those called Research (I+D+I ) in health.<\/p>\n<p>Check the calendar with all the deadlines to apply for these grants: AES 2022 Calendar<\/p>\n<p>Calls for applications<\/p>\n<p>The calls for contracts and projects included in the AES 2022 are the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>State Training Subprogram (State Program to Develop, Attract and Retain Talent):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Predoctoral training contracts in health research, in its two modalities (PFIS and i-PFIS): These fellowships finance contracts for the initial training of researchers in health sciences and technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training grants in health research management (FGIN). These grants facilitate the development of a plan of training activities in research management in health sciences and technologies to be carried out at the ISCIII.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rio Hortega contracts. Intended for the hiring of professionals who have completed the period of specialized health training, for the development of a training plan in research in health sciences and technologies that combine this activity with the assistance activity corresponding to their specialty, thereby promoting the incorporation of young researchers into the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System (SECTI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sara Borrell Contracts: Its purpose is the hiring, in centers with clinical-assistance activity, of newly graduated doctors in the field of health sciences and technologies, to improve their training. Once again, these contracts promote the incorporation of young researchers into SECTI. In the AES 2022 these contracts become part of the Training Subprogramme, instead of belonging to the Incorporation Subprogramme, as was the case until now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>State Incorporation Subprogram (State Program to Develop, Attract and Retain Talent):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Health research management contracts at Health Research Institutes (IIS). These grants are aimed at financing contracts within the Health Research Institutes that can collaborate in their usual tasks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Miguel Servet contracts, in its two modalities (Miguel Servet and Miguel Servet type II). These contracts are intended for doctors with an accredited research career in clinical-care centers, who are also granted additional funding to carry out their research activity. Additionally, additional funding is established for the center in the event that it commits to the creation of a stable job once the financing of the contract ends, without prejudice to the elements of access to that position that each entity proposes in accordance with the applicable regulations. As a novelty in the AES 2022, the duration of the funding for these contracts is divided into two phases: a first, with a minimum duration of 3 years to strengthen the skills acquired during a first stage of postdoctoral training, and a second, with a maximum duration of two years, aimed at acquiring the skills and abilities that allow obtaining a stable position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Juan Rod\u00e9s contracts. This contract modality aims to allow the beneficiary centers to hire research personnel who are integrated into the healthcare flows of the center itself, devoting a minimum of 50% of their activity to research, always under the umbrella of the Health Research Institutes (IIS ).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contracts for the intensification of research activity in the National Health System. These are subsidies aimed at hiring professionals who can carry out the care activity of principal investigators of Research Projects or International Joint Programming Projects awarded in the AES 2019 or 2020 calls, with the aim of helping the beneficiary center to the care activity carried out by researchers with clinical obligations does not have an impact on the development of care flows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contracts for bioinformatic technical personnel to support research in the IIS. These contracts are aimed at professionals who carry out scientific-technical activities in the Health Research Institutes (IIS) aimed at offering bioinformatics services to all the research groups of the Health Research Institutes (IIS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>State Mobility Subprogram (State Program to Develop, Attract and Retain Talent):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grants for the mobility of research staff, in its two modalities (M-BAE and M-AES). These help finance stays for research staff with a contract subsidized by the AES, in national or foreign R&amp;D centers, or in Severo Ochoa Centers of Excellence and Mar\u00eda de Maeztu Units of Excellence.<\/p>\n<p>State Subprogram for the Generation of Knowledge (State Program to Promote Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer):<\/p>\n<p>R&amp;D projects in health. Grants aimed at financing stable lines of research, avoiding the fragmentation of groups, encouraging the participation of research personnel who carry out care tasks in the National Health System as principal investigator of projects, and helping in the generational transition of lines of research directed by senior research staff towards young research staff, among other issues. These projects change their name this year and are now called Health R&amp;D&amp;I Projects with a single action.<br \/>State Knowledge Transfer Subprogram (State Program to Promote Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer):<\/p>\n<p>Technological development projects in health. Grants for the same purpose as PIs, but aimed at promoting market-oriented translational research. This year these projects are published in two modalities: the Proof of Concept Projects and the Prototype Technological Validation Projects.<\/p>\n<p>Independent clinical research projects. Aimed at answering clinical questions of high value for the health system, but without commercial interest for third parties. In 2022, the consolidation of the financing of this project modality continues.<br \/>Incorporation of new groups to the Network Biomedical Research Center Consortium (CIBER). The incorporation of a total of 16 research groups distributed among 7 CIBER areas is convened, with the incorporation of the Multiple Sclerosis descriptor being of particular relevance.<\/p>\n<p>State Internationalization Subprogram (State Program to Address the Priorities of Our Environment):<\/p>\n<p>International collaboration projects. Until now they were called International Joint Programming Projects; As already happened in the AES 2021, they will be financed through direct concession.<br \/>Throughout 2022, in addition to the AES2022 and under its umbrella, a series of calls will be launched with financing from European funds and linked to the Vanguard Health PERTE and will be detailed in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the AES 2022 includes priority areas for the granting of grants, contracts and projects, in line with the provisions of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation, they are the following:<\/p>\n<p>Health throughout the entire life cycle, with a special focus on vulnerable populations and groups that require actions to promote greater equity and reduce social and gender inequalities in health.<br \/>Environmental and social determinants of health.<br \/>Infectious Diseases and Global Health.<br \/>Digital health.<br \/>Improvement of health systems, with special attention to their sustainability and relationship with socioeconomic factors.<br \/>Within the framework of these areas, the priority research lines of the AES 2022 call are the following:<\/p>\n<p>Molecular and cellular technologies in health, focused on greater transfer to clinical practice.<br \/>Translational research to increase knowledge of the mechanisms involved in the disease and the search for clinical applications, serving the most needy social groups.<br \/>Promotion of research in public health, environmental health, occupational health and improvement of health services.<br \/>Research in medicines and health products.<br \/>Research in health technologies. El objetivo de la AES es impulsar el desarrollo de la I+D+i en salud en Espa\u00f1a y aumentar la estabilidad de la carrera profesional de su comunidad investigadora.\r\n\r\nAdem\u00e1s, para la realizaci\u00f3n de contratos y proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n en salud, la AES 2022 incluye diversas convocatorias ordinarias de ayudas, a las que habr\u00e1 que sumar convocatorias extraordinarias vinculadas al <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><a style=\"color: #808000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.isciii.es\/Noticias\/Noticias\/Paginas\/Noticias\/Presentaci%c3%b3nPERTESalud.aspx\"><strong>PERTE de Salud de Vanguardia<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, como las de Infraestructuras y Medicina de Precisi\u00f3n.\r\n\r\nLa AES 2022 pretende con la nueva convocatoria consolidar los proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica independiente; estabilizar la carrera investigadora a trav\u00e9s de modificaciones en determinados contratos; ampliar los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n en el Consorcio CIBER, y reformular los proyectos de desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico en salud para garantizar una verdadera transferencia de conocimiento.\r\n\r\nLas 15 convocatorias ordinarias incluidas en la AES 2022 se distribuyen en tres programas estatales: el Programa Estatal Para Desarrollar, Atraer y Retener Talento; el Programa Estatal Para Impulsar la Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico-T\u00e9cnica y su Transferencia, y el Programa Estatal Para Afrontar las Prioridades de Nuestro Entorno. Estos tres programas estatales tienen subprogramas en los que se encuadran las diferentes convocatorias de ayudas, contratos y proyectos, que este a\u00f1o incluyen novedades en contratos como los Sara Borrell y los Miguel Servet, y en proyectos como los denominados Investigaci\u00f3n (I+D+I) en Salud.\r\n\r\nConsulta el calendario con todos los plazos para solicitar estas ayudas: <strong><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><a style=\"color: #808000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.idisantiago.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Calendario-AES-2022.pdf\">Calendario AES 2022<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>Convocatorias de ayudas<\/strong>\r\n\r\nLas convocatorias de ayudas para contratos y proyectos incluidos en la AES 2022 son los siguientes:\r\n\r\n<strong>Subprograma Estatal de Formaci\u00f3n (Programa Estatal Para Desarrollar, Atraer y Retener Talento):<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos predoctorales de formaci\u00f3n en investigaci\u00f3n en salud, en sus dos modalidades (PFIS e i-PFIS): Estas ayudas financian contratos destinados a la formaci\u00f3n inicial de personas investigadoras en ciencias y tecnolog\u00edas de la salud.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Ayudas de formaci\u00f3n en gesti\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n en salud (FGIN). Estas ayudas facilitan el desarrollo de un plan de actividades de formaci\u00f3n en gesti\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n en ciencias y tecnolog\u00edas de la salud a realizar en el ISCIII.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos R\u00edo Hortega. Destinados a la contrataci\u00f3n de profesionales que hayan terminado el per\u00edodo de formaci\u00f3n sanitaria especializada, para el desarrollo de un plan de formaci\u00f3n en investigaci\u00f3n en ciencias y tecnolog\u00edas de la salud que simultanean esta actividad con la actividad asistencial correspondiente a su especialidad, promoviendo con ello la incorporaci\u00f3n de j\u00f3venes investigadores al Sistema Espa\u00f1ol de Ciencia, tecnolog\u00eda e Innovaci\u00f3n (SECTI).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos Sara Borrell: Su objeto es la contrataci\u00f3n, en centros con actividad cl\u00ednico-asistencial, de doctores y doctoras reci\u00e9n titulados en el campo de las ciencias y tecnolog\u00edas de la salud, para perfeccionar su formaci\u00f3n. Nuevamente, con estos contratos se promueve la incorporaci\u00f3n de personas investigadoras j\u00f3venes al SECTI. En la AES 2022 estos contratos pasan a estar dentro del Subprograma de Formaci\u00f3n, en lugar de pertenecer al Subprograma de Incorporaci\u00f3n como ocurr\u00eda hasta ahora.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Subprograma Estatal de Incorporaci\u00f3n (Programa Estatal Para Desarrollar, Atraer y Retener Talento):<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos de gesti\u00f3n en investigaci\u00f3n en salud en los Institutos de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria (IIS). Estas ayudas est\u00e1n dirigidas a financiar contratos dentro de los Institutos de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria que puedan colaborar en las tareas habituales de los mismos.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos Miguel Servet, en sus dos modalidades (Miguel Servet y Miguel Servet tipo II). Estos contratos est\u00e1n destinados a doctoras y doctores de acreditada trayectoria investigadora en centros cl\u00ednico-asistenciales, a los que tambi\u00e9n se les concede financiaci\u00f3n adicional para la ejecuci\u00f3n de su actividad de investigaci\u00f3n. Adicionalmente, se establece una ayuda adicional al centro en el caso de que se comprometa a la creaci\u00f3n de un puesto de trabajo estable una vez finalice la financiaci\u00f3n del contrato, sin perjuicio de los elementos de acceso a esa posici\u00f3n que cada entidad plantee de acuerdo con la normativa que le sea de aplicaci\u00f3n. Como novedad en la AES 2022, la duraci\u00f3n de la ayuda para estos contratos se divide en dos fases: una primera, con una duraci\u00f3n m\u00ednima de 3 a\u00f1os para afianzar las capacidades adquiridas durante una primera etapa previa de formaci\u00f3n posdoctoral, y una segunda, con una duraci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima de dos a\u00f1os, dirigida a adquirir las competencias y capacidades que permitan obtener un puesto de car\u00e1cter estable.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos Juan Rod\u00e9s. Esta modalidad de contratos persigue que los centros beneficiarios puedan contratar personal investigador que se integre dentro de los flujos asistenciales del propio centro, dedicando un m\u00ednimo del 50% de su actividad a la investigaci\u00f3n, siempre bajo el paraguas de los Institutos de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria (IIS).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos para la intensificaci\u00f3n de la actividad investigadora en el Sistema Nacional de Salud. Se trata de subvenciones orientadas a la contrataci\u00f3n de profesionales que puedan realizar la actividad asistencial de investigadores principales de Proyectos de Investigaci\u00f3n o Proyectos de Programaci\u00f3n Conjunta Internacional concedidos en las convocatorias de la AES 2019 o 2020, con el objetivo de ayudar al centro beneficiario a que la actividad asistencial realizada por los investigadores con obligaciones cl\u00ednicas no impacte sobre el desarrollo de los flujos asistenciales.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Contratos de personal t\u00e9cnico bioinform\u00e1tico de apoyo a la investigaci\u00f3n en los IIS. Estos contratos est\u00e1n dirigidos a profesionales que realicen actividades cient\u00edfico-t\u00e9cnicas en los Institutos de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria (IIS) dirigidas a ofrecer servicios de bioinform\u00e1tica al conjunto de los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n de los Institutos de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria (IIS).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Subprograma Estatal de Movilidad (Programa Estatal Para Desarrollar, Atraer y Retener Talento):<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Ayudas para la movilidad del personal investigador, en sus dos modalidades (M-BAE y M-AES). Estas ayudan financian estancias del personal investigador con un contrato subvencionado por la AES, en centros nacionales o extranjeros de I+D, o en Centros de Excelencia Severo Ochoa y Unidades de Excelencia Mar\u00eda de Maeztu.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n<strong>Subprograma Estatal de Generaci\u00f3n de Conocimiento (Programa Estatal Para Impulsar La Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico-T\u00e9cnica y su Transferencia):<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Proyectos de I+D+I en salud. Ayudas dirigidas a financiar l\u00edneas estables de investigaci\u00f3n, evitando la fragmentaci\u00f3n grupos, a incentivar la participaci\u00f3n del personal investigador que realiza tareas asistenciales en el Sistema Nacional de Salud como investigador principal de proyectos, y ayudar en la transici\u00f3n generacional de las l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n dirigidas por personal investigador senior hacia personal investigador joven, entre otras cuestiones. Estos proyectos cambian este a\u00f1o de denominaci\u00f3n y ahora se llaman Proyectos de I+D+I en salud con una \u00fanica actuaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Subprograma Estatal de Transferencia de Conocimiento (Programa Estatal Para Impulsar La Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico-T\u00e9cnica y su Transferencia):<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Proyectos de desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico en salud. Ayudas con el mismo objeto que los PI, pero destinados a potenciar la investigaci\u00f3n traslacional orientada al mercado. Este a\u00f1o estos proyectos se publican en dos modalidades: los Proyectos de Pruebas de Concepto y los Proyectos de Validaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica de prototipos.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica independiente. Orientados a responder preguntas cl\u00ednicas de alto valor para el sistema sanitario, pero sin inter\u00e9s comercial para terceros. En 2022 se continua con la consolidaci\u00f3n de la financiaci\u00f3n de esta modalidad de proyectos.\r\nIncorporaci\u00f3n de nuevos grupos al Consorcio Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica en Red (CIBER). Se convoca la incorporaci\u00f3n de un total de 16 grupos de investigaci\u00f3n distribuidos entre 7 \u00e1reas del CIBER, teniendo especial relevancia la incorporaci\u00f3n del descriptor de Esclerosis M\u00faltiple.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Subprograma Estatal de Internacionalizaci\u00f3n (Programa Estatal Para Afrontar las Prioridades de Nuestro Entorno):<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Proyectos de colaboraci\u00f3n internacional. Hasta ahora se denominaban Proyectos de Programaci\u00f3n Conjunta Internacional; como ya ocurri\u00f3 en la AES 2021 se financiar\u00e1n mediante concesi\u00f3n directa.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nA lo largo de 2022, de forma complementaria a la AES2022 y bajo su paraguas, se lanzar\u00e1n una serie de convocatorias con financiaci\u00f3n procedente de los fondos europeos y vinculadas al PERTE de Salud de Vanguardia y que se ir\u00e1n detallando en las pr\u00f3ximas semanas.\r\n\r\nPor otro lado, la AES 2022 incluye \u00e1reas prioritarias para la concesi\u00f3n de ayudas, contratos y proyectos, en l\u00ednea con lo establecido por el Plan Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica y T\u00e9cnica y de Innovaci\u00f3n, son las siguientes:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Salud a lo largo de todo el ciclo vital, con especial foco en poblaciones vulnerables y grupos que precisen de acciones para favorecer mayor equidad y reducir desigualdades sociales y de g\u00e9nero en salud.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Determinantes ambientales y sociales de la salud.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Enfermedades infecciosas y Salud Global.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Salud digital.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Mejora de sistemas sanitarios, con especial atenci\u00f3n a su sostenibilidad y relaci\u00f3n con factores socioecon\u00f3micos.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nEn el marco de estas \u00e1reas, las l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n prioritarias de la convocatoria de la AES 2022 son las siguientes:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Tecnolog\u00edas moleculares y celulares en salud, enfocadas a una mayor transferencia a la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Investigaci\u00f3n traslacional para aumentar el conocimiento de los mecanismos implicados en la enfermedad y la b\u00fasqueda de aplicaciones cl\u00ednicas, atendiendo a los grupos sociales m\u00e1s necesitados.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fomento de la investigaci\u00f3n en salud p\u00fablica, salud ambiental, salud laboral y mejora de los servicios de salud.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Investigaci\u00f3n en medicamentos y productos sanitarios.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Investigaci\u00f3n en tecnolog\u00edas para la salud.
