En su estudio, la investigadora muestra c\u00f3mo la inhibici\u00f3n farmacol\u00f3gica del receptor de EGF afecta preferentemente a las c\u00e9lulas que producen estas malformaciones vasculares. El trabajo, dirigido por Juan Bautista Zalvide Torrente y Celia Maria Pombo Ramos, muestra c\u00f3mo la inactivaci\u00f3n de dos prote\u00ednas quinasas, STK24 y STK25, hace que se desarrollen cavernomas.
