Ambos traballan conxuntamente para dar soluci\u00f3n \u00e1s necesidades m\u00e9dicas no diagn\u00f3stico, tratamento e seguimento dos pacientes con patolox\u00eda cardiovascular, centr\u00e1ndose principalmente na graxa card\u00edaca e arritmias. Para la consecuci\u00f3n do obxectivo, o grupo c\u00e9ntrase nos seguintes estudos:<br \/>\na) Mecanismos fisiopatol\u00f3xicos da enfermidade cardiovascular asociados coa graxa card\u00edaca.<br \/>\nb) Factores e tratamentos reguladores da x\u00e9nese da graxa card\u00edaca.<br \/>\nc) Novos indicadores bioqu\u00edmicos e celulares, asociados coa graxa card\u00edaca, de diagn\u00f3stico e pron\u00f3stico da patolox\u00eda cardiovascular.<br \/>\nd) Modelos precl\u00ednicos que melloren o entendemento da rede graxa card\u00edaca-sistema inmune e cardiovascular.<br \/>\ne) Novos procedementos no tratamento da fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular.<br \/>\nf) Novos indicadores de risco da fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular e a s\u00faa perpetuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3>Li\u00f1as de investigaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>1. Graxa epic\u00e1rdica e patolox\u00eda cardiovascular<br \/>\nDende o ano 2005, o noso grupo c\u00e9ntrase no estudo de a) os mecanismos fisiopatol\u00f3xicos na graxa epic\u00e1rdica implicados na enfermidade cardiovascular (fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular, cardiopat\u00eda isqu\u00e9mica ou insuficiencia card\u00edaca) e os seus factores de risco b) busca de marcadores non invasivos e de f\u00e1cil acceso de graxa epic\u00e1rdica patox\u00e9nica, c) actividade paracrina e endocrina que permita identificar marcadores sist\u00e9micos da patolox\u00eda cardiovascular e c) a s\u00faa regulaci\u00f3n mediante f\u00e1rmacos. Para iso establecemos tecnolox\u00edas e modelos precl\u00ednicos que se detallan a continuaci\u00f3n:<br \/>\na.1. estudis prote\u00f3micos, transcript\u00f3micos e funcionais (interactoma-v\u00edas de sinalizaci\u00f3n-dianas terap\u00e9uticas ou marcadores da patolox\u00eda).<br \/>\na.2. modelos \u201cex vivo\u201d e \u201c in vitro\u201d de explantes de tecido e c\u00e9lulas da graxa epic\u00e1rdica, respectivamente, as\u00ed como sistemas de co-cultivo celular. Os modelos precl\u00ednicos establecidos perm\u00edtennos estudar a x\u00e9nese da graxa epic\u00e1rdica e a s\u00faa regulaci\u00f3n polos tratamentos da enfermidade cardiovascular existentes ou de nova prescrici\u00f3n).<br \/>\n2. Interacci\u00f3n graxa epic\u00e1rdica, sistema inmune innato e patolox\u00eda cardiovascular<br \/>\nO proceso inflamatorio que desencadea a graxa epic\u00e1rdica favorece a progresi\u00f3n da enfermidade cardiovascular. Deste modo, o noso grupo trata de estudar os mecanismos implicados na interacci\u00f3n entre graxa epic\u00e1rdica e c\u00e9lulas fagoc\u00edticas e a s\u00faa posible regulaci\u00f3n farmacol\u00f3xica.<br \/>\n3. Marcadores sist\u00e9micos derivados do epicardio na patolox\u00eda cardiovascular (novos kits de diagn\u00f3stico)<br \/>\nMediante a aplicaci\u00f3n de novas tecnolox\u00edas e modelos precl\u00ednicos trataremos de estudar a actividade secretora do epicardio e a graxa epic\u00e1rdica para identificar marcadores bioqu\u00edmicos e celulares a nivel sist\u00e9mico da progresi\u00f3n da enfermidade cardiovascular, centr\u00e1ndonos fundamentalmente na fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular e insuficiencia card\u00edaca.
