A identificaci\u00f3n destos sistemas en diferentes contextos ou condici\u00f3ns constit\u00fae unha das aproximaci\u00f3ns de maior e f\u00e1cil aplicabilidade cl\u00ednica na aactualidade. A pesar de que este modo de acci\u00f3n non est\u00e1 directamente dirixido \u00f3 tratamento das bases x\u00e9nicas asociadas \u00e1 inestabilidade estrutural das miofibras, deber\u00eda de ser suficiente para manter un nivel estable de rexeneraci\u00f3n, reducindo a gravidade dos s\u00edntomas. Por outra parte, este tipo de aproximaci\u00f3n \u00e9 esencial para alcanzar o \u00e9xito de terapias x\u00e9nicas ou celulares a trav\u00e9s de terapias combinatorias. Por iso, o noso Grupo de investigaci\u00f3n traballa na identificaci\u00f3n e caracterizaci\u00f3n de sistemas autocrinos implicados directamente na rexeneraci\u00f3n muscular para a identificaci\u00f3n de dianas terap\u00e9uticas aplicables \u00f3 tratamento de procesos patol\u00f3xicos que conducen \u00e1 debilidade muscular: distrofia muscular, atrofia muscular secundaria asociada a cancro e atrofia muscular asociada \u00f3 envellecemento ou sarcopenia.<\/p>\n<h3>Li\u00f1as de investigaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>O Grupo de Endocrinolox\u00eda Celular (GEC) \u00e9 un grupo multidisciplinar que traballa para comprender os mecanismos moleculares que regulan a determinaci\u00f3n das c\u00e9lulas nai do m\u00fasculo (c\u00e9lulas sat\u00e9lites) durante a rexeneraci\u00f3n do tecido muscular esquel\u00e9tico adulto. Localizado no Hospital Cl\u00ednico Universitario de Santiago de Compostela do Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria de Santiago (IDIS), o GEC desenvolve estudos centrados na regulaci\u00f3n da miox\u00e9nese, da c\u00e9lula sat\u00e9lite \u00e1 fibra muscular, a trav\u00e9s de sistemas autocrinos implicados na rexeneraci\u00f3n muscular para a identificaci\u00f3n de dianas terap\u00e9uticas aplicables \u00f3 tratamento de patolox\u00edas que conducen \u00e1 debilidade muscular: distrofia muscular de Duchenne (DMD), atrofia muscular secundaria asociada a unha patolox\u00eda (diabete, cancro, etc.) e atrofia muscular asociada \u00f3 envellecemento ou sarcopenia. Con este fin, o GEC emprega diferentes aproximaci\u00f3ns experimentais, das bases estruturais \u00f3 papel fisiol\u00f3xico, enfocadas \u00e1 caracterizaci\u00f3n de dianas e xeraci\u00f3n de potenciais f\u00e1rmacos para a rexeneraci\u00f3n funcional do m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9tico. En particular, o GEC identificou o p\u00e9ptido obestatina e o receptor GPR39, como un sistema implicado na especificaci\u00f3n das c\u00e9lulas sat\u00e9lite, sendo determinante da activaci\u00f3n e regulaci\u00f3n do proceso rexenerativo do m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9tico. En base \u00e1s caracter\u00edsticas establecidas polos estudos desenvoltos, este equipo demostrou a s\u00faa aplicabilidade para o tratamento de lesi\u00f3ns musculares agudas, validando a s\u00faa acci\u00f3n en modelos in vitro de miox\u00e9nese humana. Adem\u00e1is, demostrou o seu papel no restablecemento da funcionalidade muscular definindo un perfil anab\u00f3lico determinante de fibras musculares de maior resistencia. Recentemente caracterizou a s\u00faa aplicabilidade para contrarrestar a atrofia muscular relacionada con condici\u00f3ns catab\u00f3licas. Asimesmo, demostrou a s\u00faa aplicabilidade en terapias de tipo combinatoria para mellorar o rendemento de terapias celulares de trasplante de mioblastos dirixidas \u00f3 tratamento de lesi\u00f3ns musculares agudas. De forma destacable demostrou o papel deste sistema para preservala integridade muscular na DMD. Os resultados obtidos posicionan \u00f3 sistema obestatina\/GPR39 como un potencial candidato terap\u00e9utico para o tratamento paliativo de DMD, pero engade adem\u00e1is un compo\u00f1ente moi importante e demandado para este tipo de patolox\u00edas que \u00e9 o seu uso en terapias combinatorias. A evoluci\u00f3n do traballo permitiu expandir e consolidar a capacidade do equipo para o desenvolvemento e uso de nova tecnolox\u00eda relacionada coa miolox\u00eda e de aplicabilidade a medio prazo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;Equipo investigador&#8221;
