Na nosa unidade, desenvolvemos nanopart\u00edculas capaces de actuar como transportadores de f\u00e1rmacos, para lograr unha acumulaci\u00f3n selectiva en tumor e met\u00e1stase, aumentando a s\u00faa eficacia e diminu\u00edndo os efectos adversos relacionados cunha distribuci\u00f3n indiscriminada polo organismo.<\/p>\n<p>Gran parte da nosa actividade c\u00e9ntrase no desenvolvemento de terapias dirixidas baseadas en biomol\u00e9culas como son prote\u00ednas, \u00e1cidos nucleicos, p\u00e9ptidos, ou apt\u00e1meros. As nosas nanopart\u00edculas son sistemas seguros, biocompatibles e biodegradables, capaces de protexer a este tipo de biomol\u00e9culas fronte a procesos de degradaci\u00f3n, favorecer o seu paso a trav\u00e9s de barreiras biol\u00f3xicas, e o seu acceso \u00f3 lugar de acci\u00f3n, en definitiva favorecendo a s\u00faa traslaci\u00f3n \u00e1 cl\u00ednica.<\/p>\n<p>Exploramos adem\u00e1is a oportunidade de aplicalas no desenvolvemento de novas ferramentas de diagn\u00f3stico empregndo t\u00e9cnicas de imaxe molecular.<\/p>\n<h3>Li\u00f1as de investigaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>O obxectivo principal da Unidade de Nano-Oncolox\u00eda \u00e9 explorar estratexias innovadoras, baseadas na aplicaci\u00f3n da nanotecnolox\u00eda, para desenvolver terapias m\u00e1is eficientes e seguras, e novas ferramentas para diagn\u00f3stico avanzado da enfermidade.O enfermo est\u00e1 no centro da nosa investigaci\u00f3n, e temos en conta, desde fases moi temper\u00e1s o desenvolvemento, cales son os puntos cr\u00edticos para que a nosa tecnolox\u00eda poida chegar \u00e1 cl\u00ednica.<\/p>\n<p>A nosa actividade p\u00f3dese resumir nos seguintes puntos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dese\u00f1o e avaliaci\u00f3n de novas nanoterapias e nanoinmunoterapias para lograr tratamentos m\u00e1is efectivos e seguros, e interferir coa formaci\u00f3n de met\u00e1stase e progresi\u00f3n da enfermidade.<\/li>\n<li>Desenvolvemento de novas ferramentas de diagn\u00f3stico para imaxe molecular baseadas en nanotecnolox\u00eda. O obxectivo \u00e9 conseguir diagnosticar a presenza de pequenas agrupaci\u00f3ns de c\u00e9lulas tumorais que dar\u00e1n orixe \u00e1 formaci\u00f3n de met\u00e1stase.<\/li>\n<li>Aplicaci\u00f3n da nosa tecnolox\u00eda noutras \u00e1reas de co\u00f1ecemento.
