Oficina de Ensayos Clínicos
La Oficina de Ensayos Clínicos se ocupa de la tramitación necesaria para iniciar estudios clínicos en los centros de su ámbito de actuación, tanto de promotores comerciales como de estudios promovidos por nuestros investigadores, entre otras tareas:
- Gestión de contratos
- Seguimiento económico y facturación
- Solicitudes a las Autoridades Sanitarias
- Solicitud de presupuestos a CROs y contratación de seguro de responsabilidad civil
De manera general, todos los estudios que se realicen en el ámbito de la investigación biomédica y que impliquen a seres humanos, sus muestras o sus datos de carácter personal, deben ser sometidos a la consideración de un Comité de ética de la investigación acreditado. Asimismo, para iniciar cualquier estudio clínico es necesaria la conformidad de la Gerencia del Área Sanitaria.

Unidad de Ensayos Clínicos en Fases Tempranas
Esta Unidad está disponible para la realización de ensayos clínicos de fases tempranas (I y II). Cuenta con una consulta médica, una sala de tratamiento con capacidad para 6 sillones reclinables, un despacho administrativo y una sala de procesamiento de muestras y almacenamiento. Sala de Monitorización
Espacio reservado para las tareas de monitorización de ensayos clínicos. Tiene capacidad para 5 puestos de trabajo, y está dotada de ordenadores.
Plataforma de Investigación Clínica Independiente
La Plataforma de Investigación Clínica Independiente del Instituto de Investigación Carlos III (ISCIII) potencia el desarrollo de estudios clínicos académicos, en especial aquellos financiados por el ISCIII. El contacto de la Plataforma en el IDIS es plataformaici.fidis.santiago@sergas.es.
Archivo de documentación de ensayos clínicos
Sala para la custodia de documentación de ensayos clínicos finalizados durante el tiempo que establece la normativa aplicable o el promotor. Se localiza en la planta -5 del Hospital Clínico Universitario de Santiago y está disponible para todos aquellos Promotores que contraten este servicio.
