About us

The Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela Foundation (FIDIS) was created in 2001, as a result of the merger of the IDICHUS Foundation, the University Hospital Complex of Santiago and the FIDI-Xeral Calde Foundation of the Lucus Augusti University Hospital of Lugo. The IDIS Foundation is a non-profit foundation with its own legal entity, whose ultimate goal is to improve people’s health and quality of life, creating a healthier future and transferring cutting-edge biomedical research results to society. .
