About us
The Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela Foundation (FIDIS) was established in 2001 as a result of a merger between the IDICHUS Foundation, the University Hospital Complex of Santiago de Compostela and the FIDI-Xeral Calde Foundation of the Lucus Augusti University Hospital of Lugo. IDIS Foundation is a non-profit foundation with a separate legal entity whose ultimate purpose is to improve the health and quality of life of people, creating a healthier future and applying the results of the latest biomedical research to society.

- Juan José Sánchez Castro. Member appointed by the Consellería de Sanidade at the proposal of the president of the Board of Trustees. Physician at the A Estrada Health Center.
- Patricia Argerey Vilar. Member appointed by the General Director of Research, Development and Industry. Director of Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN).
- María Isabel Loza García. Member appointed by the USC. Full Professor in Pharmacology at the USC and Coordinator of the Assessment Unit of Pharmacological Activities of Chemical Compounds.
- Francisco Campos Pérez. Member appointed by the Board of Trustees at the proposal of the president of the Board of Trustees. SNS researcher Miguel Servet (ISCIII/IDIS).
- Antonio Fernández-Campa. Member appointed by the Board of Trustees at the proposal of the president of the Board of Trustees. Manager of Agencia Gallega para la Gestión del Conocimiento en Salud.
- Rafael López López. Member appointed by the Board of Trustees at the proposal of the president of the Board of Trustees. Head of the Oncology Service of the Santiago Health Area.
