The Massive Sequencing Unit is physically located in the spaces of the Galician Public Foundation for Xenomics Medicine (FPGMX) and has the necessary equipment to carry out sequencing experiments on complete genomes, exomes, RNAseq, etc. It has seven second-generation sequencers and complementary equipment for sample preparation such as liquid dispensing robots, the Covaris E220 ultrasonicator, DNA quantification systems, etc.

On the other hand, the FPGMX Sequencing Unit has a powerful infrastructure for data storage and computing through an agreement with the Galician Supercomputing Center (CESGA).
