Multiphoton microscope
COMMON SUPPORT PLATFORMS
Equipment
Multi Photon Laser Scanning Microscope FVMPE-RS in FLUOVIEW Series, Olympus.
Description
The multiphoton microscope is designed for imaging not only tissue and cell slices, but also clarified tissue, whole organs and even live animals, for which it is equipped with an inhalation anesthesia machine with isoflurane. Its working spectral range makes it suitable for 2-photon microscopy applications in which the lowest possible phototoxicity is sought and in which it is possible to obtain high quality images at maximum depth, as is the case of intravital microscopy. It is also possible to obtain images in samples without markers thanks to the generation of secondary or tertiary harmonics.
Services
Services offered by the Multiphoton Microscope include:
- Performance of in vivo imaging studies in mouse and rat.
- Study of biological processes at the cellular level.
- Study of organs, tissues and vasculature.
- Ex vivo analysis of clarified tissues to study the presence of biomarkers, proteins of interest and nanoparticles, among others.
- Performing multiple fluorescent marker analysis to study the dynamic interaction and spatial relationships between cells and molecules.
- Second and third harmonic imaging of marker-free samples
- Fluorescence lifetime microscopy (FLIM).
- Image processing with artificial intelligence technology.
