Sonia Eiras Penas

Born in 1975, she obtained a doctorate in Biology (2003) from the University of Santiago de Compostela. During the predoctoral period, he studied the signal transduction of the leptin receptor and its relationship with inflammation. He did a postdoctoral stay at the Free University of Amsterdam (2004) and at the University of Florence to study protein modifications and cardiomyocyte contraction in patients with atrial fibrillation. In 2006, he obtained a contract for the stabilization of researchers from the Isidro Parga Pondal Program of the Xunta de Galicia to join the Hospital Clínico de Santiago Foundation and study markers of cardiac fatty tissue, its behavior in cardiovascular pathology and pharmacological regulation.
