Francisco González García

Investigador líder del grupo C015 – Neurobiología del Sistema Visual

Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Santiago de Compostela since 1979 and Head of the Service of Ophthalmology since 2020 at the University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He was Fulbright and Fogarty postdoctoral Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University, and Alexander von Humboldt and European Science Foundation postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Marburg. He also was a Visiting Scientist at the Institute of Ophthalmology- University College London. He collaborates in multidisciplinary research programs to disclose functional and disease aspects of the visual system. His main current research interests include neurophysiology of the retina and visual system, ocular pharmacokinetics, and adnexal and orbital diseases. He coauthored more than a hundred peer reviewed papers (WOS Researcher-ID: N-4135-2014; ORCID: 0000-0002-1461-5474) and 30 books.
