Robustiano Pego Reigosa

Dr. Robustiano Pego Reigosa graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1989. He specialized in Neurology in 1994 at the Juan Canalejo Hospital in A Coruña. Since 1995, he has worked as a neurologist at the Lucus Augusti University Hospital, where he has been Head of Department since 2018. He earned his PhD in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2001, receiving the highest distinction (summa cum laude) for his dissertation, “Study of the peptidergic systems in the canine brain. Neuroanatomical distribution of Somatostatin-28 (1-12) and Met-enkephalin.” Since then, he has taught in doctoral programs and supervised undergraduate theses. He has also participated in clinical trials such as ATIS, TACIP, and MATCH, as well as research projects at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
