Objectives and lines of research
Objectives
The main objectives are:
a) To study the mediators of the inflammatory response associated with surgical trauma and analyze the compartmentalization of this response in the pericardial cavity and pleural cavity.
b) To study the association between the periaortic fat phenotype and the processes of apoptosis of the arterial tunica media.
c) Proteomic analysis of subcutaneous, epicardial-visceral and perivascular fat and its response to different stimuli
