Professor of Optometry at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Since her first publication in 1993, she has accumulated an h-index of 23, based on 121 publications, with a total of 1,738 citations across 1,334 documents, according to Scopus metrics. She has five six-year research periods accredited by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI) in Field 4 (Biomedical Sciences), the most recent of which is currently active.
