Assessment and recruitment
The Galician Public Foundation IDIS has an Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment Policy (OTM-R) for all recruitment processes for staff engaged in basic or clinical research at IDIS. This policy guarantees open, transparent and merit-based selection processes, but also establishes mechanisms to ensure that, in cases of equal merit, preference is given to the recruitment of individuals from under-represented groups, with the aim of promoting equity.
All researchers joining IDIS receive a Welcome Manual, which helps them settle into the institute by providing a concise overview of the institution’s mission, vision and values, as well as its organisational structure and internal communication channels. The handbook summarises employment regulations (calendar, working hours, payslips, procedures for sick leave and leave of absence, measures for pregnancy, breastfeeding and work-life balance, etc.) and occupational risk prevention protocols.
