Prof. Dr. Mario Pérez-Sayáns has a degree in Dentistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2003) and a Doctor of Dentistry from the same with the qualification of Outstanding Cum Laude and Extraordinary Doctorate Award. His current position is Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine at USC, accredited as Professor by ANECA. It has the Certification of the Incentive Program for the Incorporation and Intensification of Research Activity (I3 Program) of the State Research Agency. He holds the academic management position of Coordinator of the Stomatology Area of ​​the Department of Surgery and Medical-Surgical Specialties of the USC School of Medicine and Dentistry. Among his academic merits, it is worth highlighting the First National End of Degree Award (2003), the Extraordinary Degree Award from the USC (2003) and the Extraordinary Award from the C.A. from Galicia (2003). Regarding postgraduate teaching, he teaches in the Master’s Degree in Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and Implantology at USC and as a visiting professor at the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). His research activity focuses on the lines of oral surgery and oral medicine, in which he is the author of 112 publications indexed in the JCR (H index=22), 10 complete books, 11 book chapters, and multiple oral communications and posters. scientists. He holds the Fellowship of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the Ibero-American Board of Pathology and Oral Medicine. He has participated in 11 clinical trials and research projects as a member of the MedOralRes research group and formerly of the Research Methodology Group.
